How to Throw a Tex-Mex Fiesta

People tend to get a little snobby about Tex-Mex. And we do understand that. It is pretty far removed from the actual cuisine of Mexico. However, it still gets its roots from the traditional ingredients and flavours of Mexico; it has just taken on a very American spin.

The most important elements of Tex-Mex cuisine are cheese, corn, and meat. Vegan? You probably won't love Texas.

(Just kidding. You'll like Austin.)

Anyway, polish off your cowboy boots and pull out that piñata that appeared in your house after a party five years ago. Whip out the tequila and read ahead. It's taco night, bitches.

Though the classic Tex-Mex drink is a frozen margarita, we decided to change it up a bit with this watermelon agua fresca.
