Chili-Fried Bananas

By Anushka Malcom

Sweet and spicy, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Such a quick and simple

recipe, as easy as cutting the bananas, coating them in the spicey mix and pan-frying. This recipe can be eaten as a side with a curry and rice dish or holds it’s own as an appetiser/snack.

INGREDIENTS

2-3 bananas

2 tbsp rice / coconut/ chickpea flour

1 tsp red chilli powder

½ tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp coconut oil

METHOD

1. Peel banana and cut length ways and

then in half.

2. On a plate mix flour, chilli and cinnamon.

3. Heat pan and add coconut oil.

4. Coat each piece of banana with flour mix

and place in pan. Don’t over crowd the

pan.

5. Once golden brown, using a good spatula

flip each piece and cook the other side.

6. Transfer to a plate.
